SUNDAY WORSHIP

We are grateful to gather for worship in the historic building God provided more than 200 years ago, the third church building in our history. As a church, we embrace and proclaim the Biblical Reformed roots of Congregationalism.

Service Overview

Corporate worship begins each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Our traditional liturgy includes music, Scripture reading, prayer, and offerings, with expository preaching at the center of our worship. We typically celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month, and all baptized followers of Christ are invited to participate.

What Shapes Our Worship

We believe the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments, is God’s faithful instruction for all matters of faith and life. For that reason, our worship is Christ-centered and focused on the person and finished work of Jesus Christ.

Music

Our music follows a blended approach, drawing from beloved hymns of the faith as well as songs from gifted contemporary musicians. Each selection is chosen carefully to support and encourage worship. When possible, our beautiful 1902 tracker organ provides accompaniment.

What to Expect

  • The service typically lasts about an hour and a half.

  • Junior Church is available for children ages 10 and under and is dismissed during the service.

  • After worship, we gather for a fellowship hour in the Church Hall, where refreshments are provided.

We hope every visitor to Sharon Congregational Church finds a warm, friendly church family devoted to Jesus and committed to sharing the good news of His redeeming work with our community and the world.

If you need childcare during the service, please let one of our greeters know.
