SUNDAY WORSHIP

Our congregation worships together in a casual atmosphere on Sunday mornings at 10:30am. The sermon is central to our service, which includes music, scripture, prayers and offerings. We share communion on the first Sunday of the month. After attending worship with their families for the first half of the service, children are dismissed for Sunday school and nursery. Contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns are carefully chosen to enable and encourage worship. Our praise team includes a keyboard player, drummer, guitarist, and vocalists. Our youth band periodically shares music throughout the year, as does our church choir. We exercise our beautiful 1902 tracker organ on special occasions. People of all ages are encouraged to participate in worship by greeting, ushering, sharing and reading scripture. Usually an hour long, the service is followed by coffee hour in our fellowship hall. We hope that a visitor to Sharon Congregational Church would sense that we are devoted and loving followers of Jesus, committed to carrying His light outside of the walls of our building, to our community and our world.
