Taking Care of Each Other While Re-Entering Our Sanctuary
We are pleased to announce that on Easter Sunday (4 April, 2021) we will resume worshiping together. Because of COVID-19, we have had to make changes. This is information that will allow you to make decisions about how you want to participate.
1. Our service will begin at 10:30 am and will be 30 to 45 minutes in duration. Masks are required. For the time being, we will not be able to have congregational singing or offer coffee hour after the service. We will also refrain from using bulletins or shared bibles and hymnals.
2. Please enter using the front door of the church (the back door will be locked). Greeters will provide hand sanitizer and masks for those who are not able to bring their own. We ask that you use sanitizer as you enter the building and again as you leave. Please do not arrive too early, no more than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled service time.
3. Offering plates will be available as you enter and exit the sanctuary.
4. Ushers will be available to direct you to your seat as social distancing will be practiced. Families will be allowed to sit together and children should sit with their parents. Once you are seated, please remain in your seat until the ushers direct you to leave.
5. You may greet each other outside, remembering to practice social distancing. Please keep your mask on while greeting others.
6. The fellowship hall and the bathrooms will be closed, with the exception of any unforeseen emergency.
If you have been exposed to COVID-19, are exhibiting symptoms or are at higher risk, we ask that you remain home. We will continue to share our sermon online each week as we have for the past months.
The re-entry task force will continue to monitor positive cases in our area and follow national, state and local guidance. Please let us know if you receive a positive COVID test after attending any of our services. We will keep track of attendance for the purpose of contact tracing and your information will remain confidential.
We strongly encourage you to abide by these guidelines, not because you must, but out of love and concern for others. “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3–4
